Construction Update

Work Completed for Week 9: August 18 - August 22

• Heavy rain again required cleanup of the project area early in the week and delayed planned grading and paving activity.

• The contractor resumed grading and rolling of pulverized material in the middle of the week in preparation for paving.

• The contractor placed the lower layer of asphalt pavement on Van Buren Street on Friday.

Work Anticipated for Week 10: August 25 - August 29

• The contractor may begin curb and gutter removal on Roosevelt Street and Eisenhower Road next week.

Upcoming Work

• Following curb and gutter construction on Roosevelt Street and Eisenhower Road, turf restoration will be completed.  The street pulverization and grading process will then begin

Traffic Control

• Van Buren Street, Roosevelt Street, and Eisenhower Road are closed to through traffic, but open to local traffic.

• Expect delays and driveway access difficulties during paving.
